Clifford Brooks, a Georgia native, is the founder of The Southern Collective Experience, a cooperative of writers, musicians and visual artists. The SCE publishes the journal The Blue Mountain Review four times a year. His first poetry collection, The Draw of Broken Eyes & Whirling Metaphysics, was nominated for the Georgia Author of the Year Award in Poetry. His latest poetry collection, Athena Departs: Gospel of a Man Apart, will be released by Kudzu Leaf Press in the fall of 2017.
Michael Walls is a retired labor lawyer and an environment activist living in Atlanta. His chapbook The Blues Singer won the 2003 Frank Cat Press chapbook contest. His poems have appeared in a variety of journals, including New York Quarterly, Poetry East, Many Mountains Moving, Free Lunch, and Cumberland Poetry Review. His full-length poetry volume Stacking Winter Wood was published by Kelsay Books in 2017.
